7.0.1 Security Roles administration question

I've been reading the details from the just-announced changes in GS 7.0.1 that allow custom security options and a more robust security model. There looks like there are many needed changes in this version - so this is good news.

However, I am reading the details on how users and groups work in this new version. In these pages, http://www.gigaspaces.com/wiki/displa... the users and roles are discussed in detail, including details on the DirectoryManager, which sounds like it stores user/role information in files/directories.

Does this mean that user/role settings must be defined individually on each cluster member? Or is there support in these new security APIs that deals with managing user/role settings uniformly across all cluster members? ie... Do I need to manually set up users/roles on each cluster member or can it be set once cluster-wide?

The users/roles directory can either be shared or defined individually for different clusters/grid components.
You can have all the components share the same directory, which is the default out-of-the-box configuration. If necessary, you can separate the "grid" directory from the "cluster/Space" directory, or even for each cluster define its own directory.

Hope this clarifies it -
