How to reuse the same space.

Hi Group,

I am trying to integrate Gigaspace with my application.
I am creating the space with "finder.find("/./mySpace")" and able to write and read from the same space.
(Both my application and the Gigaspaces are in the same machine).
While I am closing my application the space is lost.
My requirement is that once I am able to write, I should be able to read from the same space after restarting my application.
Thanks for any suggestions.

2 options: - Run the space separately than the application. In this case the URL the application will will be: jini:////mySpace. A simple way to start the space separately will be to run the gsInstance command. - run a persistence space.

Thank Shay, I have two questions here.

1) I am starting the space separately (by gsInstance.bat) and accessing the it by ("/./mySpace"). So do I have to use (jini:////mySpace) instead? 2) Do I need to pass any flag to make it persistent? Because from the GUI I am not able to check that option. I am able to select Privately only.

  1. When starting the space with gsInstance and using "/./mySpace" again with your application is wrong. You should use "jini:////mySpace".
  2. Yes - you need to use some setting when starting the space. For now - you don't need to use these options. Shay
