Ports Used by Gigaspaces - Firewall

Hi

I am trying to setup gigaspaces over the firewall. Following is the command line I am using for starting GSC

venkat 31384 31376 10 13:09 pts/2 00:00:11 Gigaspaces_662_Test_1 -server -showversion -Dcom.gs.multicast.ttl=15 -Xmx512M -Xms512M -DdieCommad=Test_1 -Dcom.gigaspaces.system.registryPort=32104 -Dcom.gigaspaces.start.httpPort=32105 -Dcom.sig.space.schema=sig -Dcom.sig.PlatformCapability=Test_1 -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:OnOutOfMemoryError="mailOutOfMemory.sh;java_pid%p.hprof;Test_1" -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=1000 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:+CMSIncrementalPacing -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:ParallelGCThreads=8 -XX:NewRatio=8 -XX:+AggressiveOpts -Xbootclasspath/p::./../lib/xml/serializer.jar:./../lib/xml/xalan.jar:./../lib/xml/xercesImpl.jar:./../lib/xml/xml-apis.jar -cp ::./../lib/jdbc/h2.jar:./../lib/jdbc/hsqldb.jar:./..::./../lib/jmx/jmxremote.jar:./../lib/jmx/jmxri.jar:./../lib/jmx/jmxtools.jar:./../lib/ServiceGrid/gs-boot.jar:./../lib/common/backport-util-concurrent.jar:./../lib/jini/start.jar:./../lib/ext/siggiglogutil.jar -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=spcdeval806 -Djava.rmi.server.RMIClassLoaderSpi=default -Djava.rmi.server.logCalls=false -Dcom.gs.jini_lus.groups=PublicD -Dcom.gs.jini_lus.locators= -Dcom.gs.logging.debug=false -Djava.util.logging.config.file=./../config/gs_logging.properties com.gigaspaces.start.SystemBoot com.gigaspaces.start.services="GSC" /home/GigaSpaces/6.6.2_ga_3100/config/schemas/platform-override.xml

When I do netstat on for this process

spcdeval806:~ # netstat -ap | grep ' 31384' | grep LISTEN tcp 0 0 :53192 *: LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66 tcp 0 0 :32104 *: LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66 tcp 0 0 spcdeval806.s:32105 : LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66 tcp 0 0 spcdeval806.s:32106 : LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66 tcp 0 0 :45360 *: LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66 tcp 0 0 :52762 *: LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66 tcp 0 0 :56669 *: LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66 tcp 0 0 :52767 *: LISTEN 31384/Gigaspaces_66

What are 45560, 52762, 56669, 52767 ports listening for? Am i missing some thing ? One more question HttpPort should be same for all GSM's and GSC's ?

Thanks Venkat

In such a scenario the following components need to be configured:
- LRMI ports (both on server and client side) - com.gs.transport_protocol.lrmi.bind-port system property controls these. 20 ports should be OK for most cases.
- Jini Lookup port - com.sun.jini.reggie.initialUnicastDiscoveryPort system property controls this
- Webster HTTP port (within the GSM and GSC). If you got multiple GSC/GSM on the same machine each should have different port - com.gigaspaces.start.httpPort system property controls this
- RMI registry port (optional) - com.gigaspaces.system.registryPort system property controls this
