Pu for each partition

Hi

I am looking for windows based .Net solution

I have a 3 partition async to backup topology cluster and would like to deploy 3 instances of one PU which basically processes the space objects by polling/notified. I want know how I can deploy/configure PU to work with 1 partition each some thing like embedded working java ...

Thanks Venkat

Have you looked at the processing unit example that comes with XAP.NET?
http://www.gigaspaces.com/wiki/display/XAP7NET/.NETProcessingUnitDataExample

The data example shows how to create a .NET pu which will be collocated (embedded) with the space. Choosing the topology and number of instances is done at deploy time according to the supplied parameters either by the UI or Gs-cli in the same way you deploy a PU which is Java. You can have that example run with partition async to backup schema as is.

You want the processing unit to be collocated with the space or remote to the space? Collocated which means much faster performance.

I also recommend reading the following page:
http://www.gigaspaces.com/wiki/display/XAP7NET/EventDrivenArchitecture

In order to optimize your processing cycle by configuring properly your event listener containers (Polling/Notify), for example batch processing, concurrent processing and so on.

I guess your polling containers accessing remote spaces. In this case what u need to do is to control the routing field. Have clients routing written objects using round robin values (0-partitionsCount) for the routing field value and the same thing to be done with the polling container template. You should have in fact multiple polling containers - one per partition , each with a specific template (0-partitionsCount) for the routing field value.

If the PU running colocated spaces , these simply need to be injected with the colocated proxy (default).

There should be an example for such as part of the .Net examples.
