LOOKUPLOCATORS unable to find jini space url sometimes

While starting and stopping the tomcat ... sometimes application throws the below exception (occasionally)

I have LOOKUPLOCATORS, NIC_ADDR variables in setenv.sh. Do we need to set any other parameters?

Or do we need to set lookuplocators in the jini url also?

yes - the URL should include the locators :

jini://LOOKUP_SERVICE_IP/*/upsSpace

or in case you have multiple lookup services running:

jini://*/*/upsSpace?locators=LOOKUP_SERVICE_IP1,LOOKUP_SERVICE_IP2

Hi Shay,

jini:////upsSpace?locators=LOOKUPSERVICEIP1,LOOKUPSERVICEIP2

If one Server (ip1) is down in that case then second server (ip2) will be resolved right ?

We have two servers running Is there any order (ip1, ip2) that we need to maintain ?

No need to maintain an order. In your case you should have at least 2 lookup services running. One on each machine.
There are 2 options - global lookup service - good when multicast is enabled and local lookup service , when multicast is not enabled.

To run a local lookup service on both machines run the following on each machine:
gs-agent gsa.global.lus 0 gsa.lus 1

To run a global lookup service and have it on both machines (this will make sure you will have 2 lookup services):
gs-agent gsa.global.lus 2 gsa.lus 0
