deployment of space taking a very long time

Hi, I added one parameter to the gsm startup script and my space deployment took around 30 minutes where it used to take 3 minutes. The question is, can I speed up the deployment process with some other settings, perhaps with thread pool max values?

The parameter is question is -DmaxPrimariesPerPhysicalMachine=1

Below are the log messages I see while pu deployment is in progress:

How many partitions you have?
How many machines?
How many GSCs?
Which GigaSpaces version are you using

This space is setup as the following:

4 machines (16gb ram each), 4 gscs on each machine (so 16 gscs total), started with -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:ThreadStackSize=256 -Xms2g -Xmx2g -Dcom.gs.multicast.enabled=false

partionedSync2Backup 8,1 (8 partitions, 1 backup each)

We are using XAP build 3210

Thanks Sean

Do you have EDS configured ? Can you post your pu.xml? Does your space load data from some external data source once it is started? Shay

Hi Shay, We are using the default EDS settings. The space will load around 40000 objects at start up. I cannot share with you the exact pu file on the open forum, but I will email it to you. Thanks! Sean
