In XAP 10.1 how can a PU access an external jar

In XAP 9.x you could place a jar in the <gs_home>/lib/platform/ext of the <gs_home>/lib/optional/pu-common directories and the PU could pick up a jar on that classpath.

How in XAP 10.x can the same behaviour be replicated? I have successfully added an external jar to the GSC classpath and I can see from the logs that it gets picked up but the PU itself cannot access the jar (class not found exceptions)

If I do not want to package a jar inside the PU jar, where can I place the external jar so that the PU can access it?

Whatever worked with XAP 9 should work as well with XAP 10.You can place jars both ings_home>/lib/platform/ext or /lib/optional/pu-common.It must work.-------- Original message --------From: forum@ask.gigaspaces.org

Turn out that the file permissions for the jars added in either of those directories file need to be set. The jars need to be owned by the user that runs Gigaspaces and it must have execute access.
