How tospecify during deployment to deploy 2 different PU in different GSC

I have to deploy two different components (PU) in my set of GSCs. Each PU has 2 instances to be started.
Our memory size of GSC is small hence we don't want to deploy both of the PU in same GSC as both apps use high memory.

We have more than 4 GSC runnning on the machine and all i want is to ensure two components are not deployed with each other under any circumstance.

Please let me know if there is a way to specify during deployment or if you can point to any documentation in this regard.

If you start the 4 gscs in advance the gsm will select first all the
empty gsc and will deploy on those, which means you'll have 4 pu's
deployed into 4 distinct gsc.

As of R7.0 which you can download it's M6 from the early access section
in the web site, you can use the admin api to control the deployment in
runtime programmatically and based on events. You can also take
advantage of the agent available to spawn additional gsc processes and
to make sure that at all times you have at least one available 'free'

Hi Guy,

Thanks for your comments.

I looked at admin API and agents. However none of them solves my problem. I need to ensure that given any number of GSC two processes should never be deployed in same GSC.

Its something like, i have process units P1, P2, P3, P4,P5,P6. All i want to ensure is that P2 and P3 are never deployed in one GSC. They can be deployed with other processes in same GSC, only constraint is not with each other.

So invalid scenario will be, GSC1---> P1 and P2

Below scenario is perfectly valid. GSC1--> P1 and P3 GSC-->P2 and P4

I need ways provided by Gigaspace to add these kind of constraints in my PU to be used during deployment.

You can “tag” a GSC with some “marker” and assign each PU with a different tag. PUs will not be provisioned to an empty or arbitrary GSCs but only to the ones that are marked with a specific tag.

See below an example how you can tag a GSC (start with an Override file) and how your PU should be configured to have the matching tag ( ): http://www.gigaspaces.com/wiki/displa...
