Increasing no. of PU's in the management console ...

There is a button to increase/decrease the no. of PU's in the gs-UI. Is it true that it can be used only for PU's without embedded space? How does the increment of such PU's related to scalability (yet we're not increasing the partitions of the space)?

Thanks,

Joe

Increasing the amount of PUs is relevant for PU that does not run
embedded space. These could be services that process data or interact
with the user (web servers for example).
The amount of spaces that is part of a space lcuster is determined
during deployment time. Their location is dynamic. You can start a
cluster of 4 spaces running in the same GSC and change this later to in
on 4 different GSCs running on different machines.

So how does a space address the (linear) scalability issue in view of increasing such service PU's? Or we should be careful in the no. of such PU's as each could increase the burden of the space (and consequently affecting the other PU's)?
