Comparing with GridGain DataGrid

We are evaluating in-memory data grids for our enterprise application needs and I did come across the feature comparison matrix between grid gain and gigaspaces - http://go.gridgain.com/rs/491-TWR-806...

Below features are being claimed as not supported by Gigaspaces XAP

  1. Dynamic cache creation - I assume this is provided. Could you please confirm

  2. Synchronous and Asynchronous Backup Update - Gigaspaces does provide asynchronous replication. Is the document referring to something else?

  3. Tiered Storage - On-Heap to Off-Heap to Disk - Gigaspaces offers MemoryXtend for tiered storage.

  4. Cross Partition Transactions - This seems to be basic feature. Isn't this supported?

  5. Binary Objects - The document API would be the counterpart I suppose.

  6. Distributed SQL Joins - This is must have feature when performing complex analytics. Isn't it really not supported in XAP?

Kindly let me know your inputs on the comparison.

You are right. Sadly GG have very inaccurate comparison.

All these features are fully supported , and we have way more that GG doesn't provide due-to its limited naive architecture.

Contact myself for more details please: shay@gigaspaces.com
