Full-text search in LRU space

the recently released XAP 12.1 supports a full-text search powered by Lucene. Is it supported only in all-in-memory spaces, or also in LRU spaces? If the latter is the case, how is the DB data indexed (I mean, is there some background thread which fetches data to be indexed from the DB)?

The simple answer is No - As full-text search it based on custom indexes, which are not supported with LRU cache policy.

It doesn’t make sense to support such combination because there’s a high impedance mismatch (two completely different worlds) and complexity to implement a cache miss scenario between a custom index (geospatial, text) and underlying spatial DB or search engine.

If you need LRU type space with a full text search you should use MemoryXtend - see reference architecture here: https://blog.gigaspaces.com/capturing...
