rmi protocol to find space not working on windows

Hi, I have a space running on linux host. -Djava.rmi.server.hostname is set properly to the hostname. i can communicate to the space from other linux boxes using rmi to find the space. but when i connect to space on PC, it gave me this error. i can't ping the space either.

i am not allowed to use jini. I have to use rmi protocol.

please let me know any help. thanks.

Can you use unicast jini lookup discovery?:
jini://HOSTRUNNINGJINI_LUS/*/SpaceName

Set the locator across all the machines to have the machine running the lookup and retry.
