Size of objects in the space

Is there an easy way to determine the size of an object programmaticly versus lookint at the GUI? I would like a way to write up some different Entries and see what their memory footprint will be in the space. I know that the Blitz package has some sort of EntrySizer which aids in determining the size of in-space objects.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

In order to measure the footprint of the entries within the space you should use the technique used here:
http://gigaspaces.com/wiki/display/OLH/LoweringtheSpaceObjectFootprint-TheBinarySerializationPattern

See the space filter that calculates the footprint called when performing readMultiple with MemChecker template.
See the MemChecker.java class and how it is used with CompressMain.memCheck.
The above classes provided as part of the example package.

This technique provides very deterministic and accurate manner to understand the entries footprint within the space.
