LookupLocatorDiscovery Timeout

Hi

How to change LookupLocatorDiscovery timeout looks like it is defaulted to 15 min. I think I can change this in Services.config under "LookupLocatorDiscovery" section using parameter "initialUnicastDelayRange" but I couldn't figure it out how to use this and how it works. Any inputs would be appreciated.

We have space cluster where we disabled multicast and was using unicast. Locator went down and it took us more then 15 min to restore it. Couldn't find space for about another 15 min as GSC is frequenced to try 15 min.

From the GSC log

Venkat,
See:
http://www.gigaspaces.com/wiki/display/XAP9/HowtoConfigureUnicastDiscovery

To tune the unicast retry intervals, the com.gigaspaces.unicast.interval system property is used to control the behavior of this LookupLocatorDiscovery utility. A comma separated list of values defining the intervals to wait between subsequent retries. Values are declared in milliseconds.

Example:

-Dcom.gigaspaces.unicast.interval=5000

Will cause the LookupLocatorDiscovery utility to wait 5 seconds between retries

-Dcom.gigaspaces.unicast.interval=5000,10000

Will cause the LookupLocatorDiscovery utility to first wait 5 seconds, then 10 seconds between retries. This declaration provides a graduating approach (similar in approach to the default settings).
