Clustered vs Non-Cluster Proxy

Hello I have next SLA for deploying my application to the GigaSpace:

<os-sla:sla cluster-schema="partitioned-sync2backup"
            number-of-instances="2" number-of-backups="0"
            max-instances-per-vm="2"/>
<os-core:space id=“space" url="/./embeddedTest"/>

<os-core:giga-space id=“gigaSpaceClustered" space=“space" clustered="true"/>
<os-core:giga-space id=“gigaSpaceNonClustered" space=“space"/>

<bean id=“testClass” class=“com.TestClass”>
    <constructor-arg ref="dataGigaSpaceNonClustered"/>
</bean>

I have 2 question: 1. If TestClass uses non-clustered proxy for access to its(embedded space for that Processing Unit) GigaSpace(for example - read data), serialization and deserialization will not? 2. If TestClass will be using clustered proxy for access to its GigaSpace(i.e. embedded space for that Processing Unit) - serialization and deserialization will still be?

When using non-clustered proxy serialization will not happen. Non-primitive fields will be accessed by reference. Consider to clone the space object after reading it in case you might face race conditions or non-transactional implementation.When using a clustered proxy serialization will happen when accessing any space instance.Shay-------- Original message --------From: forum@ask.gigaspaces.org
