LookupFinder failed to find the service

Hi ,

I'm trying to access the remote space using a java client application. The space was developed and deployed through .net in a clustered environment . URL for the space jini://*/stock_container1/stock?groups=stock,XAP-9.6.2-ga-NET-4.0.30319-x64&ignoreValidation=true&state=started .

I have used the following java code to access the remote space

GigaSpace gs; gs= new GigaSpaceConfigurer(new UrlSpaceConfigurer("jini://.../stock_container1/stock?groups=stock,XAP-9.6.2-ga-NET-4.0.30319-x64&ignoreValidation=true&state=started")).gigaSpace();

but i'm getting the following error

2014-01-14 03:01:50,016 WARNING [net.jini.discovery.LookupLocatorDiscovery] - Exception in InternalDiscoverylListener.discovered() going to discard the discoveryEvent: net.jini.discovery.DiscoveryEvent[source=net.jini.discovery.LookupLocatorDiscovery@5c06006d]; Caused by: java.rmi.ConnectException: Connect Failed to [NIO://C0007648:29901/pid[22328]/2644964079927395_2_-8456427426214135096_details[class com.sun.jini.reggie.GigaRegistrar]]; nested exception is: java.net.UnknownHostException Exception in thread "GS-event notifier" java.lang.IllegalStateException: discovery terminated at net.jini.discovery.LookupLocatorDiscovery.discard(LookupLocatorDiscovery.java:994) at net.jini.discovery.LookupLocatorDiscovery$InternalDiscoverylListener.discovered(LookupLocatorDiscovery.java:1726) at net.jini.discovery.LookupLocatorDiscovery$Notifier.run(LookupLocatorDiscovery.java:736) Exception in thread "main" org.openspaces.core.space.CannotFindSpaceException: Failed to find space with url [jini://.../*/stock_container1/stock?groups=gigaspaces-9.5.1-XAPPremium-ga&state=started]; nested exception is com.j_spaces.core.client.FinderException: LookupFinder failed to find service using the following service attributes:

Why you are using such url?

It should be: jini:////stock?groups=stock

Make sure you have multicast enabled between the client and lookup service side.

If you can't have such use: jini:////stock?locators=lookup ip

Can u see the space in the ui?

The url I've provided must work. The format is : Jini:////spaceName?locators=lookup ip Or Jini:////spaceName?groups=group name
