Failure & Recovery Strategies

Hi Team,

I am exploring gigaspaces capabilities so as to adapt. So far so good, but I am yet confused about several critical / rarely happening scenarios.

We were running fine with sybase & never thought it can ever encounter low level data corruption error which went unnoticed for few days & result was 6 Hrs down time.

  1. Are there any chances In Memory data Grid get corrupted? We might argue that replication copy is there but I guess that would also get corrupted as it's a replication & so as database too. Of course finally database can save us due to routine dumps.

  2. In case, I have partitioned data grid, is it possible to perform partition level backup/recovery?

Thanks, Dharam

Question is what you mean by get corrupted? when one partition fails its backup will become primary.
