Notify container does not process existing entities on the space.

This is a new bie question. We are using XAP 10 to build an app.

I have a basic notify container setup that waits for some objects (with processed = false) to be written to the space. During testing - I noticed that if the objects were written to the space before the notify container is initialized , the listener code did not get called. However, after the polling container was started - when the same objects were written to space , the listener code does get invoked as expected.

Is there a way I can force the notify container to process all the entities that match its event template (rather than just those that are written after notify container initialization).

I have a simple test that shows this. Would be happy to post that if required.

Thanks Ashish

By design you can't force the Notify Container to process entities which are already in the space (unless you used Masking Notifications - take/all which I believe is not your case) http://docs.gigaspaces.com/xap97/noti... The Notify Container start working after its initialization. What you can do now is read the entities and write them again to the space.

The other option is to generate the notify container before any data is written.

If it's embedded with the space that will be the default behavior.

Thanks Yuval and Shay. I was out so sorry about the delayed response. Would take the alternative of rewriting the entities to space.
